I felt sorry for Mildred aka "The Sick Little Well Girl" at the beginning of the movie. It goes to prove what a quack Dr. Van Saulsburg was! I saw firsthand that sunlight, singing, and laughed uplifted her mood! Harold Lloyd is like the sunshine that we need from time to time.
Hal Roach co-wrote "Dr. Jack" (1922), produced "One Million B.C." (1940), and was responsible for the Little Rascals' "Our Gang" shorts and Laurel and Hardy movies. He was also the former father-in-law of Scott Carpenter, who was a member of NASA's Mercury 7 project, introduced in April 9, 1959, only six months after the agency was established. He was portrayed by Charles Frank in "The Right Stuff" (1983)
I've had the pleasure of watching Harold Lloyd's "Safety Last," with an audience a few years ago when it became public domain. It was an amazing experience, highly recommend it.
If you ever come to Berlin: the Babylon cinema regularly shows silent films with organ or orchestra accompaniment. myself playing dr jack on september 10th
Harold Lloyd was truly of the same caliber as Buster Keaton, and Charlie Chaplin. They were the pioneers of film, and the Greats of the Silent era comedy, and early sound productions.
Actually Harold Lloyd was more successful than Keaton (an absolute genius btw), both financially and in personal life. Of the three, Harold was the one who is able to successfully transitioned to Talkies in the late 20s and early 30s.

I swear Harold Lloyd has the most charming face. I love his goofy smile

Dr. Jack vs Quack Dr. 🤣
i feel like there's difficulty describing most of the dialogue and monologue and sometimes there's barely music.
